Suggest a Purchase

The Library welcomes requests for purchase in all formats. All suggestions are evaluated according to the Kingston Frontenac Public Library's Collection Development Policy.

This service is intended ONLY for items NOT already in our catalogue.

Please check the Library Catalogue before making any suggestions.

Please limit your requests to 3 items per month.

Request a book:

We purchase thousands of new titles each year and we try to buy all English language bestsellers and all new titles by popular authors. We will be buying the next books by authors like John Grisham, Dan Brown, Margaret Atwood, Robert Munsch......and hundreds of other popular authors.

Please do suggest

- books that we missed buying - titles that are not sure-fire bestsellers - books from new or little known authors and publishers (especially from Canadian or local authors)

Please don't suggest

- very popular titles or books by best selling authors - books that are not yet published - older titles that are no longer in print (Want an older book? Consider Inter-Library Loans)

The Library welcomes requests for purchase of audiovisual material. All suggestions are evaluated according to Kingston Frontenac Public Library's Collection Development Policy .
The KFPL film collection provides titles of enduring value and interest. We purchase films defined as "classic", award-winners, and Canadian-made. We are unable to purchase most mainstream television series.

NOTE: Please check the Library Catalogue before suggesting a title.
