Re: Central Branch Elevator Project

The Kingston Frontenac Public Library has contracted with ThyssenKrupp Elevator to upgrade the elevator at the Central branch of the library. It is expected that the elevator will be out of service for approximately three months. During this time, patrons, staff and volunteers will be required to use the stairs for access to all floors of the library. The anticipated start date for the project work is late March 2012.

We will be updating our public website if there are changes to the expected timelines of the elevator project. We thank you for your patience and apologize in advance for any inconvenience that the temporary interruption in elevator service may cause our patrons. Our mission is to ensure that our facilities are safe for our patrons, and this project is necessary to ensure the safe operation of the elevator.
