The Library is seeking community input on the expansion of library service in Kingston East. There is an opportunity to for the Library to join the Kingston East Community Centre project and construct a new branch, which would replace the current Pittsburgh Branch located at 80 Gore Road. The Library is also exploring other options for expanding service in Kingston East, and has engaged a consultant to study those options.
As part of the consultation process, the library is seeking community input. Feedback was sought at an open house at the Pittsburgh Branch on November 15, 2017, between 2 and 4 p.m. and 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Comments can be submitted until November 30th using the form below, or via a paper survey, which is available at all KFPL Branches. Comments received at the open house and through online and paper surveys will be compiled and made available to the public through the library's website.
An information sheet has been developed to provide some background on the project and information about the Kingston East Community Centre. It is available at all library branches and or can be downloaded here.
