Radon detectors

Corentium Home radon detectors can help you assess the risk of radon exposure in your home. This program is offered in partnership with the South East Health Unit.

Long-term radon exposure can cause serious health issues, including lung cancer. Since all homes have some level of radon, the only way to know how much is present is to test.

This device is intended as a screening tool to give you a general idea of the radon levels in your home. Regardless of the results, it is recommended to follow up with a long-term test of at least 3 months during the fall or winter.

The detectors may be borrowed by patrons with Explore accounts for 3 weeks and may be renewed.

Lost or damaged items have a replacement cost of $235.

Radon detectors are available from late fall to early spring.
