Book Club Sets

A Book Club Set is a set of 10 copies of the same title that can be reserved and picked up at any branch in a library bag. They are available for browsing at the Central Branch, the Isabel Turner Branch (currently closed for renovation) and the Sydenham Branch and can be sent out to any KFPL branch.

Book Club Sets have a six-week loan period with one three-week renewal, provided there are no reservations on the set. 

You can have three sets out at any one time.

Book Club Set Eligibility

Any member of your book club can borrow and take responsibility for the set if they have a library card. To help you keep track of your book club loans, download the KFPL Book Club Sign-out sheet (PDF).

Get a Book Club Sets

Reserve set 

Search the catalogue and place a hold.  

Book Club Sets cannot be reserved for a specific date.  

Use the ‘manage your holds’ feature in your account to see when the Book Club Set will be available for pick up.

Browse Book Club Set shelves 

Browse the Book Club Set shelves at the Central Branch, the Isabel Turner Branch (currently closed for renovation) and the Sydenham Branch. Bring the display copy of the book to the Service Desk, and library staff will help you check it out and retrieve the remaining copies.

Return Book Club Sets

Book Club Sets can be returned to any KFPL branch. The entire set must be returned together (10 books and the bag) either to the Service Desk or through the outside book drop.

Please do not use the automated return system available at the Central, Calvin Park and Isabel Turner branches to return Book Club Sets.
