Review by Rainbow Star
This is a must see movie. It is in subtitles for English viewers but they do not distract in any way from the movie. The characters are all Muslims, their stories are told from an individual perspective but these combine into an overall perspective. The viewer is sympathetic to all characters, it is difficult to identify any one protagonist yet this is a bloodless battle for religion, justice, love, morality, and family. There are no victors in this battle but the losses of all characters are painful, reflective of some of our own losses, and haunting. Add this to your list of inspiring movies, share with friends and families, engage in discussing the various perspectives, concepts of morality, the uniqueness and similarities of cultures and religions, the sacrifices we make for loved ones and 'strangers', the human condition with all it's struggles, triumphs, joys, sadness and enduring ability to carry on regardless of road blocks, challenges, or apparent futility.
