Summary | Radiance of tomorrow, finds the return of two longtime friends to a remote village in Sierra Leone which is attempting to rebuild and sustain a new community out of the madness and carnage of a civil war. They take on their former positions as teachers, but are beset by obstacles. Already plagued with the challenges of disturbing personal memories and loss, they encounter even further cruelty and injustice as bureaucratic corruption, greed, and foreign encroachment threatens the village survival. In the face of indescribable suffering, they must deal with the uncertainty of their past and future alike. |
