This film, based on the actual events of Selma, is of important historical value and worth watching if only for that reason. Although I found it to be slow moving, the intensity was real and a good reminder of how Martin Luther King was such an important leader figure in the struggle for Black voting and other human rights.
The film is not for the faint of heart, but it should bring tears to your eyes once you realize the systemic inequality in the South USA in the 60's.
