The stories are good enough but I didn't find the settings, wardrobes, props and even some of the dialogue entirely convincing but the former probably because the film-makers relied on existing buildings rather than sets built to 1920 standards (as an example, the interior exposed brick wall in one of the first episodes which to me looks like it was sand-blasted yesterday). As far as the acting is concerned, I was happy to see that it got better by the end of the season.
