How can you write a book about beavers and never visit Canada?
This book is a waste of time.
I've seen what an industrious beaver can do in a small community, and was quite looking forward to learning more about one of our most recognized national emblems. I was astonished, therefore, upon examining the book to realize that the author was limiting his writing to those beavers living in the U.S.; beavers north of the border need not apply. I allow that you have to establish boundaries for your research, but one map could indeed foster the idea that beavers don't live in Canada.
I chose to invest my reading hours in something else.
