About the Friends of the Library Create Space

The Create Space closed during the provincial stay-at-home order.

When we reopen we will continue offering access by appointment.

A single booking will be permitted at a time, and there will be a 72 hour quarantine of the space following each booking. You may be accompanied by one member of your immediate family or social bubble. Please note that users of the Create Space must wear a mask throughout their visit.

Youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied in the space by an adult, and the use of most equipment is restricted to ages 8 and older. Visitors to the space must complete a waiver before being admitted to the space.

More Information

The Friends of the Library Create Space is located on the main floor at our Central Branch. It is an unsupervised space, and library staff are not able to provide assistance or technical support for patrons using the equipment.

For most equipment you must provide your own supplies, but KFPL provides 3D printer filament for a fee on a sliding scale, and our Friends of the Library sell button and magnet pieces, emergency sewing kits and USB drives at the branch. Please see individual equipment pages for more information.

A key card is needed to access the space. Key cards may be borrowed from the main service desk using your library card.

Please note that no food or drink is permitted in the Create Space.
