Commemorating Soldiers Killed During World War One

Image of soldiers and nurses with the words The World Remembers

Beginning Monday, September 25, our Isabel Turner Branch will host The World Remembers, an international digital display commemorating the 700,000 soldiers killed in 1917, the third year of World War One. Running continuously until Remembrance Day, November 11, the names of each soldier will appear briefly on the screen. Recognizing the impact on all sides, every country who made their records available will be included. Join us in remembering the soldiers of the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, the United States, Turkey, Belgium, Australia, the Czech Republic, Italy, New Zealand, Slovenia, China and the former British Indian Army.
