The Kingston Frontenac Public Library has partnered with Repair Café Kingston to offer a new program: Repair It!
Repair It! is a program that brings the community together to empower people so that they can fix broken household items. Rather than filling up the landfill, we are connecting people with “fixers” who can teach them how to give their broken lamps a second life.
Do you have an item that is in need of repair? Join our team of fixers to get feedback on how you can fix it at home.
Do you have the skills to be a fixer? Check out the Volunteering at the Library page to learn how to apply.
2022 Event Dates
- Saturday, April 9
- Saturday, May 14
- Saturday, June 11
If you have a broken item that you would like the fixers to advise you about, please complete the online form. We will get back to you with a list of tools that you should have handy for the session.
Interested in learning new skills and chatting with fixers? You are welcome to join these events, even if you don't have anything to be fixed.
Please register online to let us know that you are coming.
