hoopla is a collection of digital music, movies, television, audiobooks, graphic novels and eBooks that are free with your library card. Enjoy world-class content on your web browser, smartphone or tablet. Borrow any title from the collection, just like traditional books, DVDs and CDs, with just your library card and an Internet connection.

Monthly limits and loan periods
There are no reservation queues in hoopla.
Each month, you can borrow 4 titles.
Each digital format has a different loan period.

You can access, watch, or listen to your borrowed content as often as you like during the loan period. Borrowed titles can be returned at any time.
Get started
To borrow a title, you will need to sign up for a hoopla account.
- Go to the hoopla page and select Get Started.

- Have your library card and email address nearby. Select Let’s Go!

- The Find Your Library screen will appear.
- Select Kingston Frontenac Public Library if it shows up or use the 'search for your library' box to find it and choose Next.

- Enter your 14-digit Library Card number and Library PIN.

- Check the box to agree to allow hoopla to “exchange my registration information with my public library.” Select Next.
- This gives hoopla permission to verify the status of your account.
- Choose if you want hoopla to send you email communications and choose Sign Me Up.
Updating your library barcode in your hoopla account
- Sign in to your hoopla account at hoopladigital.com with your existing email address and password that was created when you signed up.
- Select the gear icon located at the top of the hoopla page to open your settings.
- Choose Library.
- Make sure the library name field still says Kingston Frontenac Public Library.
- Enter your new library card number in the Library Card Number field.
- Enter your library PIN in the Library Card PIN field.
- Select Save.
You will then be able to continue to use your hoopla account with your new library card number.
Availability
hoopla is available through the browser, and the app can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices.

Accessibility
hoopla offers some setting adjustments to meet accessibility needs, like font adjustments for eBooks, and playback speed adjustments for audiobooks. OpenDyslexic font is available for most eBooks.
