KFPL Live: Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney & Estate Planning

Members of the public will have the opportunity to learn about estate planning and estate administration from a local estates solicitor. The seminar will focus on some of the reasons why you should conduct estate planning in the first place and will highlight some of the most common drafting and planning pitfalls you can avoid when preparing wills. The seminar will also include a review of power of attorney issues and a discussion on the roles and responsibilities of executors and attorneys for property and personal care. Members of the public will have the opportunity to ask questions; however, no legal advice will be provided.

This free talk is open to adults only and seating is limited. To avoid disappointment please register in advance. Registration opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 12. You will be asked for your Kingston Frontenac Public Library card number when you register. Each participant must be registered separately. For example, if you are attending with a friend please register yourself and then register your friend.

You may register for this program without a KFPL card provided you take out a membership before the talk begins. To learn how to get a KFPL membership either visit http://www.kfpl.ca/getting-started/getting-a-library-card or phone any KFPL branch to speak with a staff member.
