Access to public computers
All Kingston Frontenac Public Library branches have at least one Public Access Computer connected to the internet.
Computer sessions are one hour long and can be renewed if another library user is not waiting to use it.
Accessibility
Computers use Microsoft Windows and have the Ease of Access Magnify utility.
Select computers at various branches have been equipped with additional applications and hardware for ease of accessibility. These accessible computer stations are available at the following branches: Central, Calvin Park, Cataraqui Centre, Isabel Turner (closed for renovations), Pittsburgh, Rideau Heights and Sydenham.
Express computers
Express computers are available at the Calvin Park, Cataraqui Centre, Pittsburgh and Sydenham branches. These computers are connected to the internet and are intended for patrons who only need a computer for shorter periods of time.

Go to the service desk and request a computer.
You will need your library card number and 4-digit PIN. If you don’t have a library card, the staff at the service desk can assist you.
All the public access computers have USB ports able to read flash drives. Flash drives may also be available for purchase at the service desk for $8.00. Documents can also be stored in cloud services like Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive that can be accessed on library computers.
The Library does not supply headphones or adapters. Please bring your own headphones. The computers accommodate a standard 3.5mm headphone connection.
No, KFPL branches do not have fax machines.
