Wi-Fi at Library Branches

Free Wi-Fi is available at all Kingston Frontenac Public Library branches.

Please note: Wi-Fi is unavailable at the Central, Calvin Park, Cataraqui Centre, Pittsburgh and Rideau Heights branches between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

How to connect to Wi-Fi

Find the open network called KFPLibrary listed on your device.

Select the Sign in to a Wi-Fi network pop-up or Accept the Terms of Service pop-up, then click Login.

Troubleshooting FAQ

What do I do if I'm having trouble getting the "Sign-In to Wi-Fi network" popup to appear on my Apple device?

Sometimes a device may not get the signal from the KFPL network on its own. To prompt the popup, open Safari and type captive.apple.com into the address bar. This should trigger the popup to sign in to the KFPL network.

What do I do if I can’t see the KFPLibrary network?

If you can see other networks when you are at the Library but KFPLibrary doesn’t appear, please report this to staff at the Service Desk.
