The Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) encourages readers of all ages to join the Summer Reading Challenges! Whether you’re in search of adventure, mystery or inspiration, KFPL has something for everyone to enjoy at their own pace, with chances to win fantastic prizes all summer long. To participate, kids, teens and adults must register and track their summer reading on Beanstack, a digital platform available both on desktop and as a mobile app.

“Our Summer Reading Challenges are designed to make reading enjoyable and accessible for all ages,” said Liz Coates, Manager of Programming and Outreach. “For children and teens, reading throughout the summer helps maintain literacy skills and prevents the summer slide, setting them up for success when they return to school. At the same time, readers of all ages can discover new stories, strengthen their skills and build lasting reading habits—all while winning amazing prizes! We are grateful for the Friends of the Library and TD Bank for supporting reading programs at the Library.”

All Summer Reading programs are free with a library card. Registration opens on Friday, May 30. The challenges run from Saturday, June 14, to Sunday, Aug. 24. Participants can register at any KFPL branch or online through Beanstack.

The grand prize—a $100 Indigo gift card and a goody basket—will be awarded to one lucky participant who completes the challenge by logging 240 minutes of reading and at least five activities.
