Review by Lady Midnight
Christopher Guest at the peak of his comic brilliance deftly inhabits his kooky character, with charm and thorough believability. The residents of Blaine, Missouri, (which include the sparkling Catherine O'Hara and the great Eugene Levy) somehow seem like people we might meet in our own neighbourhood. The musical theatre production they mount is hilarious and full of surprising flashes of artistry. Who knew Eugene Levy could sing? Inspired madness.
