Review by JENNY MAYO-SMITH
The Nightmare before Christmas is a funky mash up of a Christmas and Halloween film. We open with Jack Skellington, a skeleton from Halloween town. After so many successful Halloweens, Jack wants something new, and after taking a walk through the woods one Halloween night, he finds just that. In the middle of the woods stands a selection of doors each with a holiday on them. When Jack goes through one of these doors, he finds exactly what he was looking for, a completely new world. Going back home, Jack is determined to give his own take on the holiday. But what good will come out of a town of terrifying creatures trying to beat Old Saint Nick at his own game? Recommended for fans of Tim Burton and to those who love both Christmas and Halloween movies.
