A credible take on depicting the life of the great painter. So many scenes in the film look like paintings themselves. Timothy Spall portrays the master with an intensity that makes you believe he is Turner himself. Lovely, subtle performances from supporting cast, notably Dorothy Atkinson as his housekeeper, and Marion Bailey as Turner's landlady and lover.
