Review by GEORGE R WARBURTON
When I saw the preview I thought: 'Gawd. Not another Nazi movie. I got it anyhow; because I was curious, and one of the librarians asked for my input on it.
The redeemable part of human nature is emphasized --- in some parts --- in this movie; a twist from just about every other war time movie (that I've seen) and, it doesn't overdo compassion for animals. This is refreshing in that it opens my way to expressing this: Why does the media do stories of dogs locked in hot cars, yet remain oddly silent when it's a human infant?
