This well made film tells the story of the "miracle at " Dunkirkl where over 300,000 allied soldiers were saved by a flotilla of all kinds of boats. It centers mostly on the courage of a single boat, a pilot and a few of the soldiers rescued.
The background sound is meant to reflect stress and it works well by being terribly annoying.
Frankly, I prefer the documentary by PBS on the same subject, as it tells the story much better.
