Review by unofficial reviewer
The film shows a different portrait of the English bulldog: the somewhat insecure and intransigent side of Churchill in the few days before the invasion of Europe begins.
Brian Cox is absolutely spectacular in playing this vulnerable Churchill and his performance is what carries the film; it is also what makes the film highly watchable and enjoyable.
One can only try to imagine the immense stress and pressure that Churchill was under and the film does a great job of sharing that stress with the viewer.
