Fabulous film with two of my favourite actors Hanks & Streep. This is the very compelling story of Kate Graham (Streep) who inherited the Washington Post from her family at a time when strong women were few in such corporate roles. We follow her dealing with her editor Bill Brayley (Hanks) at the time when the Pentagon papers were becoming available to publish at great risk for the newspapers during the Nixon years. The Post was also in the process of going public to raise money, so the risk of publishing could not have been greater.
The tension and suspense are palpable even when you know the ending, as it is based on true facts. I would definitely watch this one again!
