I have always liked Theron as a character actress and the film proves that once again. Her acting is worth the watch but the story itself, although not bad, was a bit disappointing. Marlo, the Theron character is a mother who suffers from post partum trouble and seeks help with Tully, a nanny there to help her with the baby and her own problems with her weight, looks and ageing.
What follows is a trip into her psyche that leads to a surprising ending.
