Summary | A gay Muslim immigrant, writing from a homeless shelter in Toronto, tells how he ended up there. Mohamed Ali was kidnapped by his father and taken from Somalia as the rebels closed in on Mogadishu, then taken to the Netherlands and later to Canada. Separated from his birth family and caught between Somali tradition and Western culture, he found himself unable to fit in. |
