Absolutely fabulous film!
I usually am not a fan of the musical genre, but this is one exception. The film is so well constructed, with flashbacks and explanations of why Elton John is who he is. Of course, the music is fantastic, and the musical scenes are always explaining something that needed to be clarified. Very clever storyline indeed.
One of the most enjoyable movie this year, especially if you can relate to the great music of Sir Elton John.
Put it on with subtitles and finally know the words to Benny and the Jets. Not a big fan of the bio pic so I am bias. It was entertaining and insightful about Elton's long struggle to becoming clean and sober. If you are a fan of the genre or the musician or both, you may really enjoy the movie. The costumes are amazing and pretty much replicas of E.J.s wardrobe.
