Fantastic self-contained story arc that speaks to racial division in America in the early-mid 1900s. Discusses Superman's own identity as an immigrant in America, and about how he doesn't feel empowered in his identity for fear it might "other" him. Likeable secondary characters, and a very nice portrayal of Lois besides. Always nice to see a comic go back to its roots and not expect you to have somehow read 75 years of backlog X)
