General Notes | Includes LEGO EV3 brick and pieces, info sheet with QR codes linking to 'how-to' videos. LEGO EV3s are special LEGO robots that you can build and make move! They are part of a kit called “LEGO Mindstorms” which lets you use regular LEGO bricks to create different kids of robots. You also get electronic parts like motors, sensors, and a “brain called a “brick” that controls everything.Once you build your robot, you can tell it what to do by using a computer or tablet and downloading the app: LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor. You can make it move, turn, pick things up, or even follow lines on the ground. LEGO Ev3s are a mix of building, playing and learning how robots work. You get to be a robot builder and a programmer all at the same LEGO EV3 sets are generally suitable for kids ages 10 and up. However, younger kids (around 7-9) can still enjoy it if they some help for an adult or older sibling to build and program the robots. |
