"Girls and women make up half the world's population, but we have a long way to go to see equal representation for women in the highest levels of politics. The world is full of inequality, but fifteen percent of countries today have a woman president or prime minister. Today's girls will make that number grow! Let's be inspired by the lives of twelve girls from across the globe who went on to become leaders of their countries. Who were they as young people? What motivated them?
