Review by Poppy Mae Bee
Usually translating a movie to suit American sensibility is disappointing and avoids the depth of thought and feeling of the original European film. This is not the case with this film! Changed some details to make it more about US culture and updated some of the issues (a young trans boy who delivers the paper) but this is a marvelous, touching and funny movie!!
It seems that the most recent Tom Hanks' movies are unflinching and sensitive. I find myself crying (always have a box of tissues handy) . One to watch again and again - all the actors are excellent and I would love some of the recipes Marisol bakes/cooks. Enjoy this gem.
