Love love LOVE this book! It's funny how easy it is as a kid or teen to find a book about a character who is exactly your age. When you're about to turn 28, it's not quite as easy. This is such a cute story, reminiscent of Sophie Kinsella or Jennifer Close, and I actually stayed up until 1am (on a weekday night!) to finish it. It also happens to be about characters who are exactly 28! I also love that it is set in 1999, as I always say that I would have loved to be in my twenties in the '90s.
Attachments isn't just your typical feel-good romance like it appears. It's so much more than that. Certain passages made me laugh out loud. The two main characters, Beth and Jennifer, remind me of my friends and how we talk to each other. I felt like I could hear the voices of my friends in their back and forth emails. I think anyone looking for a light but unique read would enjoy this book, but especially those who are in their late twenties!
