Review by RYAN T. SCOTT
Similar multi-civilizational type fantasy world as the Shannara series, but so much less epic and imaginative in scale. And dark, taking on the typical battle between good and evil more in the sense of resilience in the face of an intense personal trauma (although disturbingly glossed over) rather than setting up a global heroic struggle. A reflection of our current societal isolation perhaps.
