Review by Poppy Mae Bee
A small, beautiful, gem of a movie. A character study of two young women in emotional crisis for different reasons in North Africa. Gentle yet powerful, quiet yet profound, I know we use to make movies like this at one time and seem to have lost the craft or the will, not sure which. Saw this as a double bill with Black Widow as the first film - a violent, noisy, simplistic, a so-called feminist point of view. I felt dirty anxious and jangled. after viewing. Then I saw "Adam" not knowing what to expect and was emotionally and intellectually captured by the story. I should have seen Adam twice instead of B.W. once. I hope you feel the same way about Adam
