Summary | Paz is an ambitious young artist who is drawn to Romy, a woman who has managed to break into the male-dominated art scene of 1970s California, as well as to Romy's husband, Billy, an enigmatic art star. After Romy dies suddenly under mysterious circumstances, Paz marries Billy and begins to care for Billy and Romy's newborn baby. What emerges is a ghostly love triangle, and when Paz attempts to claim her creative life, strange things start to happen--photographs move, an unexplained postcard arrives, and an unsettling journal entry begins to blur the line between art and life. Paz becomes increasingly obsessed with Romy and Billy and searches for answers to questions that arise. |
