Steven Heighton, writer, poet, and singer-songwriter passed away at age 60 on April 19, 2022.  The celebrated Governor General's Award-winning author called Kingston his home.  His 19 books of fiction, poetry and essays have been translated into ten languages and have appeared in many publications and anthologies worldwide.  His deeply moving album, The Devil's Share, was recorded on Wolfe Island in 2021.

Celebrate the International Day of Pink! Every year, on the second Wednesday of April, people around the world wear pink and stand in solidarity with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to continue fighting for equality and acceptance and to end anti-2SLGBTQIA+ bullying.
