Home Library Service
Home Library Service is available for Kingston and Frontenac County residents who are homebound for three months or longer due to age, illness or disability.
How it Works
There are two options for delivery:
- a monthly delivery, free of charge, of up to 20 items (including regular print hardcovers and paperbacks, large print books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks and DAISY talking books).
- items sent through Canada Post with return postage included. The service offered will depend on your geographic location and the availability of delivery drivers in your area. Please note, as of November 15, 2024 Canada Post workers are on strike, which will impact our ability to distribute materials in the mail.
How to Apply
Call us at (613) 549-8888, extension 3573 or use our web form. Library staff will verify your eligibility, discuss a delivery schedule, and ask you about your reading interests and needs so that we can send you items that you will enjoy each month.
Options Other Than Home Delivery
If you want infrequent service or if you have someone who can pick up materials for you, we can arrange to send items to your local library for a family member, caregiver or friend to pick up.
