Storytime on a School Bus

Help your child with the big transition to school by climbing aboard a real school bus for stories, songs and more! This program is for children ages 3 to 5.

Submit your poetry for a mentorship opportunity

We're looking for six emerging or practising poets aged 14 or older who are interested in an hour-long, one-on-one online mentorship session this December with Kingston Poet Laureate Jason Heroux.

Submit a sample of your poetry, from five to 12 pages in length, to poetlaureate@cityofkingston.ca or submit a typed copy at any KFPL branch, marked to the attention of Poet Laureate Jason Heroux, c/o Isabel Turner Branch. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 5.

Understanding taxes in retirement is a key piece of financial literacy and security. Laura Southall, Senior Wealth Advisor at Assante Financial Management Ltd., is hosting an interactive seminar to help women prepare for retirement, November 2 at 7 p.m.

The fourth and final session in the Financial Literacy for Women series, Passing On Your Wealth, will take place on Zoom November 30 at 7 p.m.
