Let’s Celebrate a Summer of Reading Success!

We’re wrapping up this year’s TD Summer Reading Club with a special celebration to honour all our amazing readers! Join us for an exciting Fire and Ice show presented by Mad Science, enjoy face painting, tasty treats and strike a pose in front of our festive photo backdrop. As a special memento of your summer reading success, you’ll receive a Polaroid photo to take home. 

Need a break from the noise? Step into our Quiet Corner, where kids can enjoy calming, hands-on activities and experiments in a peaceful setting.

Late returning your book? No problem!

We are permanently eliminating late-return fines on January 1, 2021 - one more step to make your public library truly equitable and accessible for all. 

Existing late-return fines on your account will be waived. Charges for lost or damaged materials will still apply -- but if you have recently discovered long lost library materials, simply put them in the return chute at any branch. Staff will clear any lost charges from your account, with no questions asked and no late fees applied.

KFPL and the City of Kingston need residents to appear in new photo and video projects - you might be asked to dance to a children's song, attend a trial program at a local museum, or be interviewed about a new service. 

We’re looking for people of all ages, abilities, genders and backgrounds - all the faces of Kingston!
