Teen Review Board Year in Review

May We Suggest: The Year in Teen Reviews!

Looking for something good to read? At KFPL you can receive book recommendations from library staff via May We Suggest and from teenage volunteers via the Teen Review Board (TRB). The TRB is comprised of teens who love to read, watch movies, listen to music, and earn volunteer hours by reviewing library materials for KFPL’s website. This year we received more than 90 reviews from Kingston and Frontenac youth, and below are some of the highlights! For more information about the Teen Review Board, or, to volunteer, please visit this website.

An Hour With Richard Van Camp

Join Richard Van Camp and KFPL for a reading from Moccasin Square Gardens. Richard will be reading from this great collection of short stories that serve as a small part of his dynamic body of literature. This event will conclude with a Q&A component, and is part of One Page: Canada's Virtual Literary Series. Jan.9th at 3:30PM. Register here!

Library fines are so 2020. Background image of white snowflakes on blue.

Late returning your book? No problem!

We are permanently eliminating late-return fines on January 1, 2021 - one more step to make your public library truly equitable and accessible for all.

Existing late-return fines on your account will be waived. Charges for lost or damaged materials will still apply -- but if you have recently discovered long lost library materials, simply put them in the return chute at any branch. Staff will clear any lost charges from your account, with no questions asked and no late fees applied.

Happy new year, everyone!
