Library Use and Conduct Policy Update

KFPL began consulting on its Code of Conduct Policy in the summer of 2024, gathering feedback from the community to create a policy that promotes the safety, dignity and intellectual freedom of library patrons and staff.

The updated Library Use and Conduct Policy was approved by the Library Board on November 27, 2024 and will take effect on March 31, 2025.

Community Vigil

On December 6, join the Kingston community for National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. KFPL is co-hosting a vigil at the Central Branch in partnership with Kingston Interval House, Sexual Assault Centre Kingston, Trellis, the Kingston Frontenac Anti-Violence Coordinating Committee and the Kingston Anti-Violence Advisory Council.

This event will commemorate the 14 women tragically murdered during the 1989 Montreal Massacre at École Polytechnique, as well as other women from Kingston and the surrounding area who have lost their lives to gender-based violence.
