Reflecting on the TRC’s Calls to Action: Ten Years Later – Live Webinar

Join us for a live-streamed webinar from the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation.

The webinar will reflect on the 10 years since the TRC’s 94 Calls to Action were released—what progress has been made, what remains and the challenges that persist. A facilitated group discussion will follow the screening.

Light snacks, tea and coffee will be provided. Feel free to bring your own lunch.

Forest of Reading - Junior Book Clubs

Love reading and talking about unforgettable characters? How about learning new facts about mushrooms?

If you do, register for one of our junior book clubs!

This winter KFPL will be running junior book clubs at the Isabel Turner Branch to support the Forest of Reading®. The Forest of Reading® is Canada's largest recreational reading program, bringing children together to celebrate Canadian books, publishers, authors and illustrators.

Registration for the Silver Birch Express Award®, Silver Birch Fiction Award®, and the Yellow Cedar Award clubs begins on Saturday, January 18. To learn more about the reading lists and age requirements for these book clubs, please visit the event calendar.
