One Earth, a Sustainable Kingston series
Sustainable Kingston is launching the One Earth series at the Sydenham Branch on Friday, Oct. 18. Running until the end of November, KFPL will host talks at both rural and urban branches, as well as community centres, covering topics related to climate, sustainability and energy efficiency. The series will include sessions on building science basics, energy upgrades for basements and foundations, deeper energy retrofits and more.
First Nation Public Library Week
October 1-4 is First Nation Public Library Week! FNPLW was introduced by First Nation librarians to raise awareness for public library services offered on Indigenous lands, and at county and municipal libraries.
