Freedom to Read-a-Thon
Freedom to Read Week (Feb. 23 to March 1) is an annual event that encourages Canadians to think about and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom. To mark this significant week, KFPL has teamed up with Queen’s University Libraries, St. Lawrence College Libraries, and Massey Library, Royal Military College of Canada/ Bibliothèque Massey, Collège militaire royal du Canada to host a Freedom to Read-a-Thon.
Join us at the Central Branch to hear community members, library staff and local leaders read excerpts from books that have been previously banned or challenged.
