Diary of a Pug
Review by Jody, age 7
It’s about a dog named Baron Von Bubbles who talks about his life in his diary. My favourite part is when a squirrel named Nuts, who keeps stealing Baron Von Bubbles' stuff, stole the wing. The pug had to give Nuts two jars of peanut butter in order to get the wing back for his owner’s rocket so she can enter it into the inventor challenge. I like this book because it has lots of words and it’s about a dog and I’m a dog person. I think lots of kids would read this book.
InvestiGATORS
Review by Tamati, age 6
There's a cookie monster and a bad dinosaur and the dinosaur steals money. The investigator traps the dinosaur in a cage and covers it in bricks and wraps it like a present. There is a doctor that got bitten by a helicopter and when he gets excited he turns into a helicopter. The cookie monster captured a chef down a hole and made him make him unsalted cookies. I like that the book is a comic book. I can look at the pictures and read some of the words.
Mr. Wolf's Class
Review by Uzay, age 8
The book was about Mr. Wolf teaching in a new school. The main characters were Penny, Randy, Aziza, Stewart, and of course Mr. Wolf. Mr Wolf lost a student named Penny, who was so sleepy that she crawled inside a box and fell asleep. Mr. Wolf later found Penny at recess. I think this is a great book for kids like me who enjoy comics. The part I liked most was when Randy asked Aziza if she liked ice cream or farts. That joke was hilarious!!!! Another part I liked was when Stewart brought a real brain to sharing. It was his great great grandmother’s . She donated her body to science.
Snazzy Cat Capers
Review by Arlo, age 6
This book is about a famous cat burglar named Ophelia Von Hairball V who attempts to steal a famous diamond. I love this book because it is action packed with lots of interesting characters, such as Ophelia’s sidekick inventor fish, Oscar Fishgerald Gold. The author was really good at making cat and dog jokes and keeping the theme going from start to finish. If you like an action packed read, this is the purr-fect book for you!
