13th Street: Battle of the Bad-Breath Bats

13th Street: Battle of the Bad-Breath Bats

Review by Caleb, age 6

Malia and her cousins Ivan and Dante are visiting their aunt for the summer. On their way to the water park, they take a short-cut and end up lost. They have to work together to stop the oversized bats and get back home. Working as a team, they need to make sure they can make it back home with some help from new friends. This book was very funny and full of action. The kids working together to defeat the Bad Breath Bats was interesting and entertaining. My favourite part was their creativity to solve problems. I would recommend this book to other kids like me who like graphic novels and comics. It was just spooky enough to read before Halloween and I am excited to read the next books in the series.

The Alien Adventures of Finn Caspian: The Fuzzy Apocalypse

The Alien Adventures of Finn Caspian: The Fuzzy Apocalypse

Review by Tiago, age 9

This book is fiction, it is about friends and one robot in outer space. They are trying to save an alien planet from exploding. My favourite character is Foggy the robot because he is so cool. I also like that the book is set in outer space. It was my first time reading a book in this series and I will be reading more.

Alien Nate

Alien Nate

Review by Kaelynn, age 7

The book Alien Nate is about an alien that is searching for pizza. He meets a boy who helps him escape from government people that want to take him away. I liked the book because Nate likes pizza and I like pizza too. I liked that Nate went on an adventure in the whole book. I liked that the book was in graphic novel form. The book reminded of Nuts In Space (Elys Dolan) because it was crazy. I think other kids would like this book because it is silly. A couple of pages into the book, I wanted to read the whole thing. I would like to read more books from this author.

Mystery Club: Wild Werewolves/ Mummy Mischief

Mystery Club: Wild Werewolves/ Mummy Mischief

Review by June, age 7

This book is 2 mysteries in 1 book. They are about the same characters and they are all kids. They are also the mystery club. In the first book they uncover clues that mean that werewolves are in the city. in the second story they discover that people are seeing mummies in the subway. I liked this book because it is adventurous. If you like adventures then I think you will like this book too. This book is also a graphic novel and it is not scary.
