The Governor General’s Literary Awards (GGBooks) celebrate literature and inspire people to read books by creators from Canada. They provide finalists and winners with valuable recognition from peers and readers nationwide.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of United Nations peacekeeping. Canada has played an important role in peace efforts around the globe, from monitoring ceasefires, patrolling buffer zones and clearing landmines to providing humanitarian aid and assisting refugees.
