After a mysterious incident that left Triss soaking wet and with little memory of what actually happened, she finds strange things happening to her. Her appetite is insatiable, and she finds herself waking up every morning to leaves and mud in her room even though she has no memory of leaving the house. Also, some pages from her diary are missing. She soon starts hearing and seeing things that she shouldn't, and questions arise that makes her question her own sanity and what has been kept from her.
This book has a very captivating story to tell, and it was intriguing, for the most part. However, there are some confusing parts, and I felt that it had an overly complicated plot, because there were so many questions that had to be answered.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries mixed with a bit of fantasy and who likes to be left guessing at every turn of a page.
I also feel like this book is a bit like Caroline by Neil Gaiman, so if you like this book, you will love Caroline.
