In this book we follow a boy named Seth, waking up in a deserted town with all memory of how he got to be there vanished. Here's the twist: he's supposed to be dead. The story unfolds as Seth explores the eerily familiar town, confused and afraid, memories coming back in painful flashes. The questions build up and, just when despair knocks him down, he makes a startling discovery: he's not alone. Tensions build, the line between appearance and reality grows dangerously thin, and Seth races to find out the truth before it's too late.
Complete with intriguing characters, just the right amount of mystery, and secrets that will leave you reeling in your seat; this is a story worth the read.
Overall, the writing was excellent. The book had fascinating background stories and unique descriptions, but I found the plot to be slightly confusing, jumping from theory to theory, and it left me puzzled. There were some lose ends that the author had not tied up by the finale. So, as a reader, I didn't quite get the closure I was looking for. Despite that, I found the book exciting and I couldn't put it down for a second.
